One day I'll get around to writing a real post. Things are quite busy right now so I haven't really had time to sit down and formulate some thoughts on anything worthwhile. I do feel compelled to re-share this video by...Glenn Beck. OK, settle down. Quiet down. I realize that many people feel the man is a an idiot or baboon or lesser human substance but these are the same people that has never bothered listening to him.
He had an interesting segment on his web TV show yesterday on Obama. Seems our favorite liberal socialist hit the campaign trail demonizing Capitalism. Apparently the fascist is not a fan. Said capitalism never worked.
Glenn Beck sets about detailing Obama's lies about capitalism. It's a great segment.
Your title would get you jail time if this were Thailand!
ReplyDeleteI'm still interested in what country you might move to? I don't remember if you've given any options. Australia would be the only one I would be interested in but I don't know whether they would let us in.
@Jim - I'm probably fucked in the U.S. too. The 1st amendment, like the rest of the Constitution, is not followed much here anymore.
ReplyDeleteA few South American countries have promise assuming we could deal with the culture shock. I'd have to visit before making a decision to live somewhere (semi) permanently. Dominican Republic is pretty easy and reasonable to get residency. I don't have the money to blow on the islands like St. Kitts and Nevis where you pay a quarter mil and they give you citizenship. Leaving is tough with a family.
Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc. don't want you unless you can create jobs or have loads of money for investing.
Still considering my options as the window shuts. I seriously doubt I will be leaving the US. I'll be like those in Germany in the 30's who saw the shit hitting the fan but stayed anyway and lived through 10-15 years of tyranny.
It's not possible to be socialist and fascist.
ReplyDelete@Jeff - Indeed. I believe Obama at his core is a socialist. I believe the US government is moving towards a fascist state. Whatever the label the US is moving away from its constitutional republic founding.
ReplyDeletewow. Glenn Beck and "Great Segment" in the same sentence. Splork, I did not think you were a Glenn Beck style conservative. Am I wrong? Or do you agree merely with the segment at hand?
ReplyDeleteIts quite possible to be fascist and socialist. Modern fascism is in fact just a stripe of socialism.
ReplyDeleteI think anybody with a room temp IQ would agree that Mussolini was the first modern fascist ruler. And he was a socialist. He was born to socialist parents, had a socialist education and was Italy's most prominent socialist. Fer crissakes, for a number of years he was the editor for Italy's most prominent (then) socialist tract, Avanti!.
Fuck our half-white president.
ReplyDelete@Kerry - I don't know what a Glenn Beck conservative is. I am a conservative. I believe in the constitutional republic. I abhor crony capitalism. I despise the empire. I want the federal government to do what it is supposed to do which is to protect our liberty. I fucking hate Progressives whether they classify themselves as GOP or Democrat. Liberal or Republican. It is a cancer. I believe in the individual and not the collective. If you fail, too bad. If you succeed. Great. If you want to share in your bounty, I say thanks. If you do not, whatever. Politicians and bureaucrats are disgusting. Big business married to big government should be destroyed. I think Obama is liar. I think Obama is the worst President this republic has ever had.
ReplyDelete@Splork
ReplyDeleteOk. Clearly you don't appreciate progressive lurkers. I suppose, just to clear up what I meant re: Glenn Beck- that he ties a slew of social conservative issues to the issues you stated above. If one believes in the individual, then one should let the individual live their own life, even if, say, they are gay and want to be married. Not so with Glenn Beck. I would assume that you wouldn't care who other people are fucking. That is why I was curious about the Glen Beck reference.
@Kerry - yea the difference in what you are referring is libertarian versus social conservatives. I don't know how Glenn Beck feels about gays but for me I don't care that they marry but I don't necessarily find it morally right. But I'm not going to fight against them doing whatever it is they want to do as long as it doesn't impede on my liberty and freedom. And vice versa of course. Socially I'm for the individual. I'm happy to leave you alone. You leave me alone.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is progressives seem to want to require me to wear a helmet, fasten my seat belt, keep my house at 68 degrees, not homeschool, give up my light bulbs, etc. Social conservatives simply want me to screw another woman (as a man). They both have issues and they all want to infringe on personal freedom. And for that I say fuck 'em all.
Splork, if you ever wanted to move to St Kitts, make sure you're on the side of the island with the nice breeze.
ReplyDeleteNevis is nice if you plan on living at the Four Seasons. But then, living at any Four Seasons would be nice.
