Monday "We Stopped The Advance". Wednesday the Libyan Rebels are Fleeing

March 28, 2011 - "And so nine days ago, after consulting the bipartisan leadership of Congress, I authorized military action to stop the killing and enforce UN Security Council Resolution 1973. ... And tonight, I can report that we have stopped Gadhafi's deadly advance." --Barack Obama speech to nation.

March 30, 2011 - "Libyan rebels flee east from Gaddafi bombardment" - Unfortunate Reuters headline.

Our Commander in Chief is rather clueless in war.

Standing With Israel

Glenn Beck delivered an outstanding monologue discussing why the United States is no longer supportive of Israel. His statement about what country in the Middle East shares the values that we as Americans do. The answer is obviously Israel. Then why are we not standing with them? It's a great question. One that he answers in a reasonable and thoughtful manner. I stand with Israel as well.

Idiot Statist Alert! Senator Frank Lautenberg THINKS He Gives the People Freedom

lautenberg

My head just exploded. It is so difficult to live in the same reality as asshat liberals who have no concept of the Constitution. It makes me sad for this country and what the Founders set up. The latest joy comes from Democratic Senator Frank Lautenberg (NJ). He has ZERO concept of the document that he swore to uphold. The Blaze reports:
The Tea Party Republicans in Washington claim they’re concerned about the budget balance, but it’s a disguise! It’s not true! It’s a lie! That’s not what they want. They want — they want other people not to be able to have their own opinions. They don’t deserve the freedoms that are in the Constitution! But we’ll give them to them anyway.

This libtard was whining about Republicans and conservatives who are against funding the pro-abortion group, Planned Parenthood. Now, liberals and conservatives can have a spirited debate on whether it is OK to kill babies in their mothers womb. That's fine.

What is not fine is that this Senator does not understand that the Constitution was created to PROTECT the people against government assholes like him.

The government is going to give us our freedoms anyway?! Seriously?

The government does not give me my freedom. Divine Providence gives me my liberty and freedom. No man. No fucking man has the right under the Republic that is the United state to GIVE me liberty.

The Constitution was created to keep idiots like the good Senator from distributing freedom to whomever he deems worthy.

Is It U.S. and U.N. Hypocrisy Not to Aid Syria Protestors Now?

typhoon eurofighter

The U.S. has come to the aid of Libya. At least that is what I think is happening when Obama decided to make a decision 3 weeks after the uprisings and join France on the bombing runs. They seemed to justify our intrusion in this civil war by saying we are protecting the rebels. Saving the civilians. We flung 100 Tomahawks downrange and the administration still will not call it what it is which is WAR. The administration like all the rest before him up to FDR, never declared war like our constitution requires. They just decided what was best and began shooting.

Today Syria is the latest Muslim country testing their tyrannical leaders. I don't care one way or another about any of these countries. Let them fight it out. Best man wins. I don't know why we are participating in any of it. We made our statement in Afghanistan after Al qaeda attacked New York City. We smoked them. The ran and hid in Pakistan. We should take our bullets and come home. Fuck the Taliban and the rest of the cavemen. I don't know why we are still engaged in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now Libya.

So anyway, why are we not going to the aid of the Syrians? I mean, not that the U.S. and Obama can take the high road for hypocrisy but damn, isn't the same thing going on in Syria as is happening in Libya?

From the AP:
Violence erupted around Syria on Friday as troops opened fire on protesters in several cities and pro- and anti-government crowds clashed on the tense streets of the capital in the most widespread unrest in years, witnesses said.

Soldiers shot at demonstrators in the restive southern city of Daraa

Where is NATO? Where is the U.N.?

Liberals Think Drilling is Not Solution to Creating Jobs

drill baby drill

It's really tough to observe ignorance. It sucks even more when ideology gets in the way of facts. Facts which liberals really do not care to acknowledge. Gateway Pundit via CSN News reported that Rep. Rob Andrews (D-N.J.) and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) think that drilling is a problem and not a solution to creating jobs. I know...who in the hell vote for these people??? I guess much like the Internet is a problem and not a solution to creating jobs. Or railroads are a problem and not a solution to creating jobs.

Good grief the oil and gas industry supports 9.2 million jobs across the country. It creates over 2 million directly.

For the last 30 years liberals like Wasserman has discouraged drilling in the U.S. by saying something to the effort of it will not have an immediate impact on supplies and price. Or it will take 10 years for the oil that is drilled to come online. Well if we had gone ahead and drilled in 2000 and not listened to someone like Senator Feinstein of California who fights against exploiting our resources every chance she gets then today we would reaping the benefits of that effort.

Liberals Quiet as Obama Drags U.S. Into Another Middle East War

palm

Hey libs, how ya liking your man now? You folks elected Obama because he was the anti-Bush. Because he opposed the Iraq war. Funny how all you leftists are damn sure quiet this evening as the president launched 100 missile into Libya. This little African adventure by this man is ridiculous. It is not our war. I am tired of the U.S. war machine. This country cannot afford to sling million dollar missiles down range.

So the leftists will now argue that there needs to be a world police. That the U.S. has a duty to be involved. Not that the people in Iraq deserved the opportunity to be free of course. That was wrong. That was Bush looking to secure oil. Look, I was fine when we invaded Iraq but soon reservations about it, though getting rid of Hussein was a good thing. Hunting Al Qaeda in Afghanistan was great but now they have fled to neighboring countries and this stupid war we are fighting against the cavemen is just idiotic. And I'm tired of our country trying to drag them into post-Jesus time.

So what exactly is Obama doing in Libya? There is no way this war will be won in the air. If the leftists want the rebels victorious (and what the hell will that mean?) then boots will have to be on the ground. The rebels in Libya can't do it alone. Ghadafi is a tyrant, mass murderer and a disgusting human being. He deserves to be overthrown. But damn, we can't afford this shit. The Democrats love war. The Republicans love war. It is truly astonishing.

And what is up with France? Never before have they been so motivated to be involved in a conflict. Maybe for them it really is about oil. They get about 15% of their oil from Libya.

There used to be a time that before we went to war a vote would go before Congress. Now we just usurp the Constitution and allow the president to engage in war activities whether our representatives want it or not via the War Powers Act. Congress is timid and are perfectly happy allowing the president make the decision anyway. This has to stop. What exactly is our interests in Libya? Are they our ally? Nope. Do the people of Libya like Americans? Nope. Will they like us more after blowing up their shit? Nope.

Instead of Obama golfing, vacationing and filling out his brackets, I would have had more respect for the man if he simply came out forcefully and thoughtfully and said, " we can't afford this shit and have no reason to put our warriors in another conflict." But he has showed no leadership and waited until the Brits and French unzipped their fly before committing. Sad.

Health Care Delusions from Secretary Kathleen Sebelius

jackass

Is it any wonder the government is not credible. From Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius:
Just 12 months after the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act became law, the American people are enjoying new protections, greater freedoms and lower costs.

She is delusional. I do not know a single person that is paying less for health care since the Democrats rammed the bill through the Congress. I am paying more for health care. I paid more last year. I am paying more this year.

It is tiring to read the lies and disinformation this Administration traffics in. Free prevention is not free. Someone pays. They tout the pre-exiting condition protection as a great victory. I don't know many people left or right that didn't think this was a benefit that we should provide.

They can continue to spin this dog of a law but ultimately it is not constitutional and well over half the population want the damn thing repealed. They know this but they have wanted this coverage for 40 years no matter how they got it or what it costs.

British Sniper Badass - One Bullet, Two Dead Taliban

bullet

A British sniper killed two Taliban, with one bullet. The Telegraph reported:
Operating from a remote patrol base in Helmand, two British snipers were responsible for killing 75 Taliban fighters in just 40 days. In one remarkable feat of marksmanship, two insurgents were dispatched with a single bullet.

These two were deadly. The body count of the Taliban is now legendary.
The arrival at the newly-established Patrol Base Shamal Storrai (Pashto for “North Star”) in late August 2009 of Serjeant Tom Potter and Rifleman Mark Osmond marked the start of an astonishing episode in the history of British Army sniping.

Within 40 days, the two marksmen from 4 Rifles, part of the Welsh Guards Battle group, had achieved 75 confirmed kills with 31 attributed to Potter and 44 to Osmond. Each kill was chalked up as a little stick man on the beam above the firing position in their camouflaged sangar beside the base gate – a stick man with no head denoting a target eliminated with a shot to the skull.

The one bullet, two dead Taliban was a particularly incredible shot:
On September 12th, a known Taliban commander appeared on the back of a motorcycle with a passenger riding pillion. There was a British patrol in the village of Gorup-e Shesh Kalay and under the rules of engagement, the walkie-talkie the Taliban pair were carrying was designated a hostile act. As they drove off, Osmond fired warning shots with his pistol and then picked up his L96, the same weapon – serial number 0166 – he had used in Iraq and on the butt of which he had written, ‘I love u 0166’.

Taking deliberate aim, he fired a single shot. The bike tumbled and both men fell onto the road and lay there motionless. When the British patrol returned, they checked the men and confirmed they were both dead, with large holes through their heads.

The 7.62 mm bullet Osmond had fired had passed through the heads of both men.

Badass. These two are incredible warriors.

Catastrophe and War Envelopes World - Obama Prefers a Round of Golf

golf

The third largest economy in the world has just had an earthquake that has decimated villages across their country. Two nuclear reactors are in danger of  a meltdown. Thousands of people are missing. Thousands are presumed dead. Since the 8.9 earthquake that rocked Japan there has been over 20 aftershocks that has registered better than a 6. There are four whole trains that are simply gone. Nobody knows where they are. Catastrophic devastation.

And of course the Middle East continues to basically burn. Libya is basically in a civil war and countries from Egypt to Saudi Arabia continue to deal with protesters.

The U.S. - Mexico border is a war zone. Greta Van Susteren reports on this seemingly nightly and had this to say on GretaWire:
Let me repeat it: THERE IS A WAR GOING ON IN MEXICO, ON OUR BORDER!! President Obama needs to pay more attention to this crisis. It is as bad as any other hot spot in the world and it is right next door!

Death threats against Republican senators in Wisconsin are a daily occurrence. No word from the leftists like Pelosi and other shitheads who were terrified when the Tea Party organized peacefully during the health care debacle. Anybody found any hate or death threat rhetoric yet from the Tea Party? Didn't think so.

Anyway, I went off topic. The point is, there is a lot going on. Things that we pay a President to stay engaged in. We expect leadership and competence.

Guess what. Our incompetent President spent the day playing golf. ABC News reports:
President Obama just could not wait for spring weather to arrive.

For the second week in a row, the most powerful man in the world stepped away from the White House to hit the golf course.

Even as his administration and the U.S. military help Japan recover from a devastating earthquake, and as the world worries about Fukushima's nuclear reactor, the president could not resist taking advantage of the 48-degree weather in the Washington, D.C., area.

The president left the White House Saturday afternoon for a short trip to Joint Andrews Base in Camp Springs, Md.

With cloudy skies, it's not the best weather for golf, but Obama loves to spend his Saturdays on the greens. Last fall, Obama went golfing darn near every weekend.

These are never quick "work on your swing" trips; usually the president plays 18 holes, as he did last week.

This is what incompetence and non-leadership looks like. The U.S. deserves better. At the very least, even if you are a leftist, this just looks bad.

Leftist Babies Lose in Wisconsin - Taxpayers Get Huge Win

crybaby

Wisconsin Republica Senators finally figured out a way to get around the Democrat babies hiding in Illinois. The Blaze reports:
In a quick turn of events, Republican state senators in Wisconsin have successfully pushed through a provision stripping public employees of their collective bargaining rights by separating it from Gov. Scott Walker’s controversial budget bill.

The leftists are sad tonight. Their coward heroes are no longer holding the process hostage. Of course we get to hear their self-righteous crap about how the GOP:
In thirty minutes, 18 State Senators undid fifty years of civil rights in Wisconsin. Their disrespect for the people of Wisconsin and their rights is an outrage that will never be forgotten. Tonight, 18 Senate Republicans conspired to take government away from the people. Tomorrow we will join the people of Wisconsin in taking back their government.

I think it is AWESOME that the Senate assholes will finally join with their citizens and actually serve the people that voted for them instead of chilling by the hotel pool playing Parcheesi.
Sens. Bob Jauch said if Republicans “chose to ram this bill through in this fashion, it will be to their political peril. They’re changing the rules. They will inflame a very frustrated public.”

Yea, he may have a point. I mean the Dems rammed their shitty healthcare bill down our throats last year and we voted their asses out in November so I get it. Somehow though, I think his indignation is misguided and on the wrong side of the arguement.

The leftists will do whatever they can to protect their meal ticket to power. So goes the unions, so goes their political base. I guess we have not heard the last from the union thugs.

The Tea Party and those that support limited government win again.

Pelosi in 2008 Blamed White House for Oil Prices - Silent Today

oil pump

I've decided to belabor the point further and show just how hypocritical our leftists friends are. A little search engine trip to locate "pelosi", "2008" and "oil" was sure illuminating. Crooks and Liars, circa July 18, 2008, popped up in the results. Seems they were a little worked up over the price of oil and gasoline and allowed their princess, Nancy Pelosi, to put a stamp on their outrage.
Who knew Nancy Pelosi was such a straight-shooter? When Wolf Blitzer tries to pin part of the blame for the current energy crisis on the Democratic Congress, Pelosi shoots back by saying her House did everything it could to institute a sensible energy policy, only to have "run into a brick wall" in the form of Senate Republicans -- you know, the ones who broke the filibuster record for a full term last year.

"The price of oil is... is attributed to two oil men in the White House and their protectors in the United States Senate."

While it might be easy (and typically accurate) to blame everything on President Bush and Vice President Cheney, I don't think it's unreasonable to lay the current crisis at the White House's doorstep. Sure, there are some uncontrollable market forces at work, but both Cheney and Bush are oil patch guys; it would be the height of naivete to assume that they would have an energy policy that didn't benefit Big Oil.

From Day One, Dick Cheney was plotting how to take over Iraq oil fields. Before the war, it was obvious to everyone that the invasion or Iraq, and the instability it would caused in the region, would only drive prices up further. For all the lip service President Bush pays to his commitment to renewable energy, the fact is spending has been on the stagnant since the mid-1990's.

What we really need is a leader with the wisdom to acknowledge the magnitude of the problem and the courage to tackle it head on. "Green Screen" John McCain is clearly not that leader.

Hmmm. The leftists got their leader. Supposedly the most brilliant man in all of political history. He not only has not acknowledged the problem we face, his answer to tackle the problem "head on" was to shut down production in the Gulf of Mexico and further hinder this country's ability to use our own resources. He prefers we transfer wealth to the Middle East and kill jobs.

I just can't seem to locate any disdain for the high price of petroleum now that Obama is leader on that blog. The silence from the left and the big media is deafening. Crooks and Liars was sure the blame was all on the Bush White House. The stupidity of that assertion is clear.

This blog does not blame Obama for the high prices. I blame an unstable Middle East. I blame leftist environmentalists like Pelosi and activists like Secretary Ken Salazar for using unlawful regulation to advance their agenda. They work very hard to hinder this country's ability to explore and develop our own resources. And we suffer for it. Obama? He probably doesn't care either way. He just knows his leftist base is supported by the dirt people so he goes along with whatever they want.

Oil is Not Just About Gasoline

crayon

When a leftist says that oil is evil and prohibits the U.S. from drilling for resources right here in our country, they are really showing their stupidity. For one, they really are hypocrites. They don't mind that oil be recovered, they just don't want the activity to happen in America. The main thing is that drilling jobs pay good money and can be plentiful. Not only are the drilling sites manned with drillers, roughnecks, electricians, geologists among others but the amount of sub contracted jobs are vast. The technology of drilling is simply incredible too. The Administration should go have a look at the advances being made in oil exploration.

Anyway, I don't think leftists understand just how many goods are made from oil. Is a leftist dirt person aware that oil is used to make things like ink, crayons, dishwashing liquid, deodorant, eyeglasses. dvds and cds, tires, ammonia, heart valves, feedstock among hundreds if not thousands of items we use every day? We should be drilling off the left coast, in the GOM and Alaska. Freaked out about the high cost of gasoline? Blame lack of refinery and speculators. You can also blame our lack of oil production.

See the oil market is worldwide. Just because we dill  here in the U.S. does not mean that all of the oil stays in the country. It rolls out on the open market. But it would help us tremendously. The best way to get the market prices down is more supply. If the U.S. is showing the market, the speculators, that more supply is coming online then a funny thing happens with prices: They go down. Right now we are doing nothing to help our situation.

We have a bunch of dumbshits in the administration that prefer to keep the oil in the ground, import it from places that hate us thereby enriching them and making us poorer. Until the leftists can figure out how to make my kids crayons from dirt or sun beams then I suggest we get busy finding and using our natural resources.

Unions Having a Hard Time Dealing With Reality

rotten apples

Is it really any wonder why the unions are not feeling the love from private workers? The AP is reporting that Ohio's union bill is zipping right on through the state house much to the chagrin of police, bureaucrats, teachers and firefighters. Thankfully the measure is actually much more restricting than Wisconsin's. The unions just do not want to reengage with reality. From the AP:
Unionized workers in Ohio could negotiate wages, hours and certain work conditions — but not health care, sick time or pension benefits. The measure would do away with automatic pay raises, and base future wage increases on merit.

Um, guys. Seriously. Welcome to the reality of all those good taxpaying people that pay YOUR salary. Is it really about money? Or is it because you are pawns in a bigger effort to destroy capitalism and replace it with Socialism. Can you just not understand that you have killed the golden goose?
Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican like his Wisconsin counterpart, Scott Walker, praised the development. Both have pushed the collective bargaining bills as part of budget-balancing measures.

"This is a major step forward in correcting the imbalance between taxpayers and the government unions that work for them," Kasich said.

Unions whine about inequality but they are paid more in wages and benefits than the very taxpayers that make those payments. They yell about the greedy bankers and capitalist corporations yet they seem equally as ambitious about getting what is mine.

Ignorant Union Protesters Owned By Tea Party Member Elliot Fladen

This was classic. Leftists full of hate, bile and ignorance gets owned by a single Tea Party member armed with a little thing called facts. It was beautiful.

Interesting how the state run media and leftists in Congress aren't as concerned about the unions using such vile and violent images and rhetoric as they were when they made shit up about the Tea Party.

From Gateway Pundit: Elliot Fladen, graduate of Stanford Law School and Northwestern University with Economics Major and proud Libertarian unilaterally defends Tea Party views against angry union member protesters in Denver, Colorado, Saturday, February 26, 2011.
