Isn't It Time the Tea Party and Occupiers Join Forces to Defeat the Establishment? Edit: No

Edit 12Nov: Fuck it. Fuck OWS. I did my best to try to understand whatever the hell these idiots were whining about. I'm a schmuck to think that they could ever be about anything but the the utter destruction of the U.S.

I've been thinking about the "Occupy" movement and the Tea Party. I've been giving some thought to the corrupt Democrat and GOP party.

I'm not sure if people are seeing the potential for historical relevance that the Tea Party and Occupy movements are having on the political discord in this country.

As crazy as it sounds I think it is conceivable that the Tea Party and Occupy movements will one day merge into something far bigger than the establishments want to admit. I couldn't be more of any idiot to think so.

I think that is why the GOP was quick to subvert the Tea Party and is why the Democrats have quickly embraced the Occupiers.

The "establishment" Dems and GOP are not that different. They want the status quo. Spending on wars and military and entitlements.

At the core, the Tea Party nor the Occupiers want this. I think the average Occupier want the government out of their lives just as much as the Tea Partiers. The fucking Occupiers want more government tit to suck on.

It may appear that the Occupiers want more government to fix their problems but I'm beginning to believe that is just media bias. The media, big business and big government all seem to want the same thing: status quo. The media sucks donkey balls. OWS sucks media balls.

They are also extremely scared of the changes that could happen if the Tea Party and Occupiers are not folded into the establishment tents.

Want to see the establishment completely shit themselves? Have the movements come together for an accord. Sure there are disagreements between the movements but damn if they aren't very similar. Remove the racists, rapists and establishment quos from the groups and you have the real possibility of creating change in this country. Remove the rapists and thieves and you are still left with Socialists, anarchists, hippies, druggies, Marxists and communists.

The establishment needs to be afraid of the people. They ARE afraid of the people. It's just too bad that the GOP and Democrat operatives have gained control of their radical elements. Isn't it obvious how powerful our government has become?

Our government is a fucking cesspool. It is corrupt at every level. Too many interest groups creating laws to suit them through corrupt politicians. Fat cats in the Congress getting rich and staying powerful to the detriment of the serfs. Crony capitalists squeezing the middle class. Laws and regulations that are choking the economy. Government spending that is creating massive debt that future generations will not be able to overcome. Printing money to postpone an eventual end game.

What worries me is the (misguided) Marxists, communists and Socialists among the Occupiers. I want no part of that ideology. But I really believe that the intelligent beings among the Occupiers simply want a fair opportunity. Guess what? Marxism, communism and Socialism is not fair. So fuck that.

The Tea Party want what is fair too. Believe it. They want changes just as much as the Occupiers. They just want the government to stay within the confines of the Constitution. What is wrong with following the rules? The only change the Occupiers want is the head of the rich served with a side of salad and Pabst Blue Ribbon. They want nothing but the devolution of the U.S. They want nothing but taking from those that make. Assholes.

Anyway, the Tea Parties and Occupiers would do well to come together. Turn to each other and work toward defeating their common enemy: GOP and Democrats. As a Tea Partier I'd sooner work with a college pot-smoker that wanted an opportunity in a fair capitalist society than some Mitt Romney operative that is excited about the status quo. I don't want nothing to do with these big government leaches and cretins.

  1. I'm not sure how many of the Occupiers want capitalism. Maybe more do than it appears because of media bias as you say. However until the Occupy movement can get rid of all the anti-American elements, it scares me. Young kids without jobs who think they have nothing to lose by creating chaos scare me.

  2. Exactly. If the reasonable elements of the Tea Party can merge with the same among the Occupiers then the establishment could be eliminated. It's probably a pipe dream but, dammit, both movements are railing against much of the same thing. I agree the anti-American assholes need to go. They are a scary lot. Stupid and violent is a dangerous cocktail.

  3. There is a fundamental difference. Occupiers want your money and they want to use the power of the government to take everything you have. The Tea Party wants you to keep your money primarily by reducing the size and scope of government.

  4. Carl - not sure I would concede much of that to the hippies.

Frank - I know. The conventional wisdom is the Occupiers want big government to fix their problems and the Tea Party wants the government to get the hell out of the way.

I just think that at *some level* there is common ground. And that is to destroy the establishment. The establishment is destroying this country. It's all big government.

I really think that if the Tea Party and Occupiers could sensibly have a parlay they would discover who the enemy really is. They would realize that the core of each one's fight is government. Government needs to get out of the way. The occupiers are tools, useful idiots of the leftists. The intelligent among them could be reasoned with. At least that is the fantasy world I am walking in.

I am a Tea Party supporter. Since day one. Since the first party at Legislative Plaza in downtown Trashville. That said this country is fucked and has been fucked by the government shitheads. I welcome anybody that thinks government sucks.

  5. Have a look at this one:

Some of what I'm talking about is more Reaganesque than the current GOP crowd.

  6. Amen Splork!

I live in Oakland, and I must say: while the local new outlets are doing a decent job of covering the Occupy protests, the national coverage is downright shameful. Shameful.

  7. I think the "tax the rich", so-called hippy-liberals are misguided. They like to think they are all for freedom with theirs ideals which often focus around allowing people to "express themselves" with cannabis and gay rights and what not. However, when it comes to economic freedom, they do a round house and insist that "the rich" should be imposed upon to subsidise the lives of "the poor". On top of that, they have the ridiculous notion that taxing the insiders is the solution, rather than addressing their routes and activities. Their insistence for more government to fix the problems will only lead to more of what the problem causers want - the table sloping further their way.

As eluded to in your post however, these notions are often those of youngsters who have just seen a few Michael Moore-on films. The organisers of the occupy movement are much more level-headed and are happy to work with the same of tea party leanings.

A coming together is a great idea and I feel there are a couple of things that could be done that everyone can agree on. It is good to see the occupy movement. However, I have always felt protesting is pathetic and shows dependence and "what are they going to do about it". The occupy movement is moving to ...occupy everything. I feel a much better route would be to boycott everything. The occupy movement has a lot of heads turned. If they presented a list of companies to boycott that are engaged in the practices the movement is against, this can start the ball rolling towards non-cooperation and direct money into the real domestic economy as people buy from small businesses. If they don't do this, they will fail to achieve much.

  8. Perhaps you should rethink your position. I don't ever want anything to do with these Occupy Wall Street assholes.

  9. There are those among OWS that are against the government. If you believe in limited government you can work with some of those people.

The rapists, murderers, thieves, anarchists, communists, socialists, Marxists, Islamists are obviously the assholes that I am not including in the parlay.

I don't know man, the whole socialist movement pisses me off. I just have this fantasy that there has to be some reasonable people in OWS that would like a better life without having to crutch on the fucking government from cradle to grave.

  10. "I don’t want nothing to do with these big government leaches and cretins."

You better fix that double negative pronto.

OWS is showing us just what this country is increasing made of: whiners, takers, complainers, lazy people, socialists, communists, progressives, and people who are anti police, anti America, and pro violence. This isn't the America I used to love for sure.

  11. I have spent a bit of time on the OWS forum, not everyone there is a socialist and a lot of the ones that are don't live in the US. You are going to find them where ever you go, esp. if it's somewhere Michael Moore is waddling his sweet behind.

It does seem like the people running it are a bunch of liberals though, so it will just go down the gurgeller like the Tea Party.
